Sounds like you have a theme that is either not updated or is bad for you. If you are familiar with Styling code you can see what to update if you can read the code in and the from the description of the style there are additional lines to add to the style .

You may have installed a persona that isn't working properly.
You can uninstall your current Persona and revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
