Disable the Skype extension for Firefox.

I have updated skype and that has fixed the error message. However, I still am unable to use FF as my web browser. FF can either NOT find the web page or will load the web page but it is unable to be used. Thanks

Can you explain what you mean that websites can't be used and possibly attach a screenshot to illustrate?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
