After upgrdaing, every time I open Firefox I get the "Welcome to Firefox" /"Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date" page. I tried changing my default startup page, uninstalling and reinstalling but problem persists.

Try disabling the check for automatic update, also make it ask you ... as to what is to be done when updates are found (see attached image file)

Tools -> Options -> Choose 'Advanced tab' -> Choose 'Update' tab

1. Un-check "Automatically check for updates to Firefox" 2. Choose 'When updates to Firefox are found:- Ask me what to do"

Save these settings. And restart Firefox. Hope this helps you out.
