I had issues all day not being able to type in a URL so I had to uninstall and reinstall AVG.

That error has often been caused by Lenovo's Thinkvantage password manager. You have to disable/uninstall it.

From my experience, something about a version change in Firefox triggers the password manager to spontaneously decide to cause this error, but some people got this problem with the Firefox 9 update, and some with the 8 update. It sounds like this just happened to you with Firefox 10.
