When firefox windows close flash restarts

I've had this problem for about a month now and I've found no information online.

Flash videos or other applications work normally but say for instance I get a pop up in firefox and I close it any flash application running will reset. This usually means videos going back to the start. Closing tabs it's fine but if any other firefox window closes (or sometimes its opening that causes it) flash applications always restart. It'

Please check if this happens in Safe Mode after enabling only the Flash plugin: Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins (on the left).

Please check if this happens in Safe Mode after enabling only the Flash plugin: Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins (on the left).

I checked and it doesn't happen in safemode. with everythign disabled other than flash. I'll see if anything interferes with flash.
