Bookmark doesn't load page unless I click a second time.
Google would not load when FF started, other sites would load but some would not. Then google started loading from home button, but other sites would still not load. Then I noticed if I click on the bookmark a second time, the page would load. First click would show " waiting for website", and page would not load, second click on same bookmark, the page would load as usual. I'm using version 14.0.1

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

That did not work. I have since reset FF to default and that did not solve issue either. Some links open with a single click but most require clicking twice. I have seen this before on websites but never on bookmarks within the browser. I also noticed when I opened a new tab, the list of windows that shows recent websites are blank although they are named ( except for google ). IE is behaving the same. I ran a virus & a malware scan and they came out clean. I have also cleaned the registry and cleared all caches, and done a hard boot and power drained the MB. I tried to google this but the few results that actually talked about double clicking were in reference to websites. Unless someone can identify this I guess my next step is to re-install FF
Make sure that the firewall isn't blocking content or delaying the Firefox internet connection.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Thanks for your replies, but none of these helped. I even re-installed FF and the problem still exists.
