Today Firefox updated to version 15.0. It immediately froze my Ubuntu 11.10 system solid. I have a core2 duo and 2Gib RAM and everything is fast. All previous versions worked flawlessly. I can recreate the problem every time. All I need to do is reboot, then open Firefox, and BAM! Solid freeze.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

epicoder, thanks for your reply. I uninstalled completely the Ubuntu version of Firefox. I installed the latest version directly from ftp site and it seems to work good, even with my addons. Somehow Ubuntu botched Firefox, what a shocker. I shall now let them know of the issue. Once again, Thanks!

Use Safe Mode to make sure that an incompatibility with one of your addons is not causing the issue.
