Typing in the addressbar (location bar) creates dropdown list with icons but no visible URLs FF16 - why is this?

As I type a url, the location bar populates with a suggestion to match what I've typed... However, a dropdown list also appears. But since upgrading to FF16 it displays only icons and no text. I can still use the mouse or arrow keys to choose an invisible item and link to that url.

hello krumike, it sounds like an extension may be interfering in your case. please try launching firefox in safe mode once and see if the issue is occurring there too.

Yes. You're right. Starting in Safe Mode does not show the same odd behaviour. Now I just need to eliminate each Add-on one by one. (This was not a problem in FF15. Oh well.)
