I am using Mac OS 10.7.5 on a 13 inch MacBook (2008) laptop. I am trying to upgrade from FF15 to FF16. After sliding the FF icon to the App folder and giving my admin password the error message is:" The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again."

If I knew what "items had to be skipped", I could follow the instructions and perhaps get past this. Thank you hb

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop
