Dear Sir or Madam,

I just bought a new Samsung 900x notebook, with Windows 8. I installed the Firefox 21.0 version. Many websites (Youtube, Gmail,...) do not appear properly on the screen. For instance, Gmail suggests me to display the "html page", suitable for low connections. However, I have a high speed connection.

I've never seen such problems on a computer. Do you have other reports on such computers or with windows 8?

I don't know whether the problem is the computer, Windows 8 or Firefox.

Thank you for your input.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
