All of a sudden, my bookmarks toolbar has disappeared while using it. It will launch fine and remain for a little while but eventually the whole bar blanks out. If I restart firefox it shows up again but after a while disappears again. Help! I rely on my bookmarks toolbar, and it would appear at all, not even the initial one row it should do without the multi row.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
