I've had SmartVideo For YouTube 0.978 installed on my Firefox browser for some months now. It has disappeared. What happened to this add-on?
Until a few days ago, there used to be a SmartVideo option under Tools that allowed me to open up SmartVideo in order to tweak YouTube settings, but that SmartVideo option has mysteriously disappeared. However, when I go to Tools>Add-ons>Extensions, it shows that SmartVideo is installed on the browser. But when I click on the Options button to open up SmartVideo, nothing happens.
Now my YouTube viewing experience is just as crappy as it was before I added SmartVideo to Firefox. The videos stop and start at random, buffer at random, and go from 360 to 144 at random. I've uninstalled and reinstalled SmartVideo and restarted the browser, still nothing. The add-on is still listed as an extension, it just doesn't work. What's going on?

As of my knowledge it's a problem with addon,so better re install it. thank you.
It's certainly possible that Youtube has changed something...
Since most volunteers here probably aren't using this extension, I suggest contacting its author using the contact information on this page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/smartvideo-for-youtube-mytube/
Thanks guys. I'll contact the author. I thought maybe Firefox was blocking it for some reason. Is there another more reliable add-on that works like SmartVideo (e.g., allows you to control YouTube video quality, buffering, etc.)? What would you recommend? Thanks!
I should add that I uninstalled and reinstalled SmartVideo twice, still nothing.
