When I click on the downloaded file: file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/manually_sort_folders-1.2.1-tb.xpi a message pops up saying 'This add on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt.

If you've downloaded the xpi file, open Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB, click the gear icon next to Search, Install Add-on from File, select the xpi file. Or, drag the xpi file and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions.
