I installed Thunderbird, checked all setting but Thunderbird does not connect with T-online mail. T-Online securepop-server does not accept the password. I check the password on the Site of T-online (Mail) and got connected and could access my E-Mails. Securepop.t-online.de, port 995, SSL/TLS Password normal Securesmtp.t-online.de, port 465, SSL/TLS Password normal

Make sure your Firewall has got Thunderbird as an allowed program otherwise it will not be able to connect to server. Your Firewall may be part of your Anti-Virus product.

When creating the account the 'username' needs to be full email address.
