When I type in the address of a website in the address bar, and click enter, nothing happens. When I click on a suggestion that comes up when starting to type in the address, nothing happens either. I can click on links and go to websites in that manner, or open a website from my favorites folder.

Issues with the Enter key not working can be caused by the AVG Safe Search Toolbar.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems

Thanks for that, it solved part of the problem: as in, when I disable all add-ons, it works again, but I didn't have the AVG add-on, so it must have been one of the others and I haven't been able to figure out which.
