Within the last 2-3 weeks a box will appear occasionally in the lower right corner of the screen. Within it is a suggestion for further reading. It usually is related to the page on the screen but not always. When I click the "x"in it to make it close it does not. It does disappear when I go on to a different page. How do I block these from showing on my screen?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
