When I try to launch Firefox from my MacBook Pro, running OSX 10.6.8 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, all it does is open, say Connecting in the upper left hand corner and the nav bar says Go to a website. It freezes automatically. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it from Mozilla's website. I have version 9.0.1.

Thanks for your help.

Hey dalanmcnabola,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!
