Thunderbird worked fine yesterday however when trying to send a message this morning it says it can't connect to the smtp server and to put in my password which I did - but it makes no difference.

Thunderbird continues to work fine on my wifes computer and if I login to virgin media I can send a message from there, but still from my computer it will not send and I get the same error.

I have tried completely restarting my computer and thunderbird but it makes no difference
