I opened an old Windows XP laptop and Firefox automatically updated to version 45 something. After it had finished I opened Firefox only to discover that all my login passwords were no longer accessible. Are they permanently gone? How do I find them?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
