Why is Thunderbird still trying to download messages from my ISP's old SMTP even though I changed the setting?

Hi, My web host changed the SMTP server for e-mail recently. I changed that value in Options>Account Settings, it looks fine, it downloads e-mail, and yet... Every time I try to SEND a message, Thunderbird still attempts to contact the old SMTP, which isn't even in the settings anymore. So of course, I can't send any e-mail using Thunderbird. Help! Please.

1. Right-click the e-mail address in the normal folder view of Thunderbird and choose Settings.

2. At the very bottom on the left side, select Outgoing Server (SMTP).

3. On the right side you will see a list of the SMTP servers. There may be one that has the old information, and one that has the new information. Remove the old one, and make sure the new one is set to be Default.

4. On the left side, select your e-mail address, then look at the bottom on the right side. There is where it says which one of the SMTP servers the account will use. Make sure that it is set for the correct one.
