Trying to configure btmail in Thunderbird and keep getting password error message. I can log into BTmail via webmail so credentials correct. I have gmail working OK (that using OAuth2): Error message says:

Checking password Unable to login at server. Probably wrong configuration, username of password.

Used manual configuration as my username at bt is [edited email from public] @gmail.com (not the default [edited email from public] @btinternet.com that the automatic create option comes up with). Contacted BT but they said that because the username/password works OK on webmail it is a third party issue. Many thanks Tom
