When I open firefox 4 this page always opens http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/whatsnew/

I don't have it set as my home page so it should not open, except after I initally installed firefox 4 which was a few weeks ago.

So how can I stop this page from opening.

As it is not set as a home page, the second part of the article concerning preferences is relevant.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! This didn't exactly stop the problem but it helped me figure out what was really causing it. I had a program that had a plugin for firefox 3.6 because it wasn't updated for firefox 4 yet. So i had firefox 3.6 installed as well as 4 and the prefs for 3.6 overwrote the prefs.js file that firefox 4 uses so the change was also shown in firefox 4. I uninstalled firefox 3.6 because the plugin is now updated for firefox 4 and no more problem.

Thanks
