I used to have Google translator on Firefox but at the moment it doesn't work and I have to go to internet explorer to translate websites, this is not convenient for me.

There are many Google translate extensions available from the add-ons website. Try a different extension?

This one is already compatible with Firefox 9.0, which is in Beta testing now.
