Before, bookmarks in the sidebar were sorted by added. That means a new bookmark appeared at the beginning of the folder. Now this has changed and a new bookmark is added in the end of the row. This behavior is very annoying if you have long bookmark lists in a folder. How can I change this? I tried: All bookmarks -> folder -> sort by added already, but didn't help.

My version is the latest 20. beta It worked with 18.0.2 before, but did change for unknown reason.

You might have had installed an extension that added this feature.

Thank you so much. This is weird. Your suggestions works. With extension add-bookmark-here installed new bookmarks appear at the beginning again. But: I never used this extension before. So there must have happened a change in Firefox itself, as it worked always this way in the sidebar.

Besides: I have big problems since 18.0 +

  • firefox is not starting: have to kill process and it takes 3 minutes to start or does nothing
  • firefox is not restarting at all

I did a clean install already. Took a new profile. Deleted all private data and setting. But this appears again and again. I use only about 10 add-ons.
