What is LibreOffice 6'0 and how did it show up on my desktop when I was trying to read a document in an email message?

more options

I received an email announcement of a high school reunion. It included an up-to-date classmate database as an attachment. For some reason, I could not view the attachment by clicking on it. I did get a brief glimpse of it on something called LibreOffice 6'0. The icon for LibreOffice 6'0 is now on my desktop. When I click on that icon, it shows it contains the class database, but it won't open to show the database. I have never had difficulty opening attachments sent in emails in Mozilla Thunderbird and have never seen or used LibreOffice 6.0 before.

Libre office is not a part of Thunderbird so you might want to examine the attachment you were sent. Google search finds this. https://www.libreoffice.org
