Update to FF 74. Now "Whatsapp web" & Google "messages for web" don't work. They won't even load but they both work on latest Chrome. Works on FF 73.0.1.
I have another machine running FF 73.0.1 and everything is fine. FF 74 won't present QR code for either web app. I just get an "about:blank" page. Just started this morning after upgrading to 74. I have cleared cookies and cache and restarted. Any ideas?

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Hi WAB, we have several threads going where Firefox 74 users on Windows have trouble loading a few site but can load other sites normally. I'm not sure anyone has uncovered the pattern to it, but users have reported that a Refresh will resolve it. Since a Refresh removes all your add-ons and customizations, it's not usually our first recommendation. More info: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
Maybe it's a coincidence but just in case:
A QR code generally is rendered on an HTML canvas. Do you use any privacy settings or add-ons that might affect canvases? Anti-fingerprinting?
Thank you, sir. I will keep an eye out for progress. You're right, I'd like to find a fix before resorting to a reset. I've never used "safe" mode in FF but would that give a clue if it is an add-on that's causing the problem now.
I was thinking that it might have something to do with fingerprinting but I haven't changed anything for quite awhile and still use those two sites everyday. As for add-ons that could cause a problem, again, all have been in use since I restarted using FF. Forgot to mention, I can get to whatsapp.com but clicking on "whatsapp web" link at the top does nothing. It does not even try to open the page with the QR code.

That worked perfectly. Thank you very much. Not sure how it became corrupted or...but this is the solution.
