Hi there,

there is wonderful article about firefox sync: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-logins-firefox-desktop What I'm missing (feature, not article) is to have an ability to sync logins but not passwords. That means, checkbox "Logins and passwords" divide into 2 checkboxes(1. "Logins", 2. "Passwords")

This should also improve a security. I'm fine with sharing/syncing login names but not passwords For passwords sharing/syncing between my computers I do use different programs.

Is this possible? Or, can this be considered as a new feature? If this is not a good place for feature suggestion, where should I post/ask?

thanks, Tomas

What good is one without the other?

logins.json and key3.db [v58+]key4.db : These are the password files.

While someone can open the logins file and look inside, the key4 file is encrypted. Additional encryption is available using the Primary (Master) Password option.

well, the idea is not to share passwords. While sending logins is fine, I'd rather not share/send my passwords via internet.

Yes, you are right it is encrypted but still I dont want to share my passwords even encrypted (maybe irrational :))

Using sync, it's both or nothing.

What you could do is manually copy the logins.json file.
