How do I set it so that when I open a new tab it opens to my home page instead of a blank window?

I understand how to set my home page, but it's a pain to have to choose the home icon each time I open a new tab--can it be set so that any new tab that is opened automatically opens my home page?

There are several add-ons that allow you to do this, such as New Tab Homepage and NewTabURL.

You can also middle-click or press Ctrl while left-clicking the Home button to open the Home page in a new tab as you can do with every link (works also with many context menu items).
