I have had a lot of spam lately and heard that Thunderbird gives much better spam filtering, so would like to set myself up on Thunderbird. Never changed programs before so wanted to know if I can migrate my contacts list/address book from Zimbra to Thunderbird. I am using PC platform in office/studio and an iPad elsewhere.

Yes, you can export your address book:

In Thunderbird go to Address Book >> Tools >> Import >> Address Book >> then select the type of the file that you import from Zimbra, now just select the file.
