Ever since the last FF upgrade to v.35.0.1 I have noticed a few things that make no sense. 1. Even with pop up blockers installed,I am now getting some pop up ads. 2.Web sites that I have never visited now have their pages showing up in the browser window. 3.On almost every web page that I have visited there are now random words that now show up in blue with double underlines. These issues make absolutely no sense. Anyone else have these type of problems? Is there anything that can be done to correct these issues? Thanks for any help.

That is adware. It doesnt have to do with the version.

First try to delete the strange plugin NPWLPG -- Unless you actually know what it is.

Next, if you have Microsoft security essentials run a scan. If you dont have it i can assist you with that.

Adblock Plus {web link} Blocks annoying video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, banners and much more. Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads, and supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default (configurable).

luiz187- the plugin you mentioned,I could only disable it. I could not delete it. As far as MS Security essentials is concerned,I found the 64bit version but when I went to install it I got a message that said I did not need it because I Win defender installed and that they both did basically they same thing. I then found Win defender but when I cli8cked on it,I got a message that it was turned off because I am using 3rd party programs to check for virus, spyware and malware. I ran scans with these programs and the only thing that was found were some non-malware programs that were removed. Would you suggest that I get rid of these programs in favor of Win defender and if so how do I turn defender back on? Thanks

Yes i do suggest that unless you are absolutely certain the other programs are better. When you have multiple antiviruses they tend to interfere and delete each others files making all of them unusable. Something i learned the hard way.

Your NPWLPG extension is the Windows Live Photo Gallery extension for Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers. This extension allows the Photo Gallery app to be loaded into these web browsers.

NPWLPG won't be the cause of your current problems.
