Lately this has been happening with increasing frequency. I send an e-mail, and when I go to look at it in the SENT folder, the e-mail is there, but the body text is blank. Just gone. This is an issue because I have to save copies of certain business e-mails that I send. This happens primarily using a GMAIL account with which I use IMAP. It doesn't happen all the time. I'd say about 15% right now. It might be an issue with me sending messages when Thunderbird is compacting , although that's just a guess and I haven't been able to confirm that. Can anyone shed light on why this is happening and what the fix is?
