Messages sent from Thunderbird intermittently show up as blank at the receiver's end

Starting sometime last autumn, I've been having a problem where every now and then, recipients of my e-mails report that my messages are blank, i.e. the body text has disappeared. When I look at them in TB's Sent folder, they look normal. I haven't really found any rhyme or reason for this behavior - it can happen with pretty much any recipient, but not consistently - if I resend a message five minutes later that first came through as blank, it may show up normally, though it does seem like the blanking only happens when I'm responding to someone, not with new messages. This doesn't seem to happen if I send messages through Webmail, which makes me think it's a TB issue. The odd thing is, I also use another (Gmail) account through Thunderbird, but it doesn't appear to have this issue, only my work e-mail does. Any idea what could be going on, and/or how to fix this annoying problem?
