when i download pictures firefox saves them as plain text files and sets the default app as quicktime. I used to use safari and it downloaded pictures as jpegs and set the default app as preview. Now I have to go back and individually change the app for every picture i download. Is there a way to change the settings on firefox to fix this. I use a mac g4 power pc with osx 10.5.8 and firefox 3.6.12

I think I have figured it out. When you do contrl+mouse click and save as, switch the "save image as" from "preview document" to "all files." They should start showing up as a preview thumbnail in Downloads now.

Hope it helps!
