Chosen solution

Type the following in your address/awesome bar:

about:config

Click "I'll be careful I promise" in the dialog box that pops up

Type "browser.startup.homepage" in the Filter Box

Right click the value column and click "Modify",

Enter the desired home page URL in the dialog box and hit OK.

Click the home button and you shall be directed to your desired homepage

Right click the value column and click "Modify",

Enter the desired home page URL in the dialog box and hit OK.

Click the home button and you shall be directed to your desired homepage

-> Now, Set your Homepage
