In tab view with only one tab open, touching the X should close Firefox. It doesn't. It doesn't even close the one tab!

In private browsing, I want to close the only tab I have open. Since it is the only tab open, I want Firefox to close as well. Ntouching the X in tab view doesn't do either of these operations.

When you close the last private tab, Firefox usually returns to the home screen.

That's how it has always worked for me, but not always the first time. The X below the thumbnail is a little small and apparently I'm not the most accurate tapper...

Unless it was added very recently, there is no way to start Firefox for Android directly into private mode so that closing the last private tab exits the program.

Whoops, you have Beta. I can only speak to released versions.
