Create a bookmark and shortcut via a button click (javascript) in a webpage
I am developing a html webpage in which i'd like to have a button/link to create a shortcut on the user's desktop and add a bookmark. I have been trying to create a shortcut/bookmark via javascript but without success. Request for help Please.

That is not possible via JavaScript. You can only instruct visitors to press Ctrl+D to bookmark your website.
