Can you REALLY not be aware of the Firefox update virus going around and be doing anything in your power to fix it?

Constant demands to upgrade Firefox, all fake. Ruinous for PC users, annoying for Mac users. You do know this is going on, but there's no alert anywhere. What are you doing about it?

hello, if this is triggered by malware already active on your computer, then it's difficult for mozilla to do anything against that - remove any unknown addons/extension and run a scan with multiple security tools on the affected systems: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

in case this redirects to a bogus website misusing the firefox icon/trademark you could report such sites at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/legal/fraud-report/ so that further action can be taken.

thank you!

Oh they are aware as I myself have managed to bring several of these sites to attention of certain people at Mozilla and then later get shut down as a result in past. Some of these were brazen in getting them hosted at a couple Universities for example.

Mozilla prefers you to report these sites at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/legal/fraud-report/ as was mentioned above.

They have at least one bug report on Bugzilla to track these sites though it is limited access.
