Address field is red - a color that is difficult for me to see. Is there a way to use the configuration editor to change the color.
Apparently a bug in Thunderbird is changing the "To" address to red even though the addressee is in my address book. The proper address comes up when I start typing the first few letters of the addressee but the text turns red which is hard for me to see. I would like to continue to enter the addresses as I always have (type first letter or two) so the easiest fix would be to change the color from red to something easier for me to read. I've looked in the configuration editor but can't seem to find an appropriate key for the address field. Can anyone provide assistance?

Update to Thunderbird 38.0.1.
Updating to 38.0.1 fixed the problem. Thunderbird was at 31.xxxx and apparently wasn't getting automatic updates. BTW, this was on a friend's PC so I wasn't fully aware of what was going on. Thanks for the tip.
I'm on TB 38.3.0, and I have no idea what the colors in the "addressee" field of an e-mail that I'm writing are supposed to mean. As far as I can tell, it's totally random whether a known addressee in the Address Book will be displayed in red or in black. Is there a rhyme or reason to the colors?
I can read the red letters OK, so for me this question is "what am I missing - what are these colors trying to tell me?"
