Extension manager turned off an extension how do I turn it back on
During the most recent upgrade I had an extension marked as remove. First if I wanted the extension removed I would remove it myself. How do I turn this back on? And permanently disable the ability of FireFox to disable extensions without my permission.!!!!!!
Thanks

I think the 1.8 version is in the review queue with some fixes for Firefox 40+. Did you want to install it now? I think beta still has this preference:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste xpi and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If the xpinstall.signatures.required preference is set to true, double-click it to switch it to false

hello huskde,
From what I could understand the extension you talking about is not removed but you have an option next to it to remove it. Once you remove an extension you have the options to bring it back by clicking the "Undo". You can also temporarily disable the extensions by pressing the "disable" button. Hope that helps.
What is the full message? BTW, the remove is an option. What is the add-on you are having problems with? Have you checked for updates?
Thanks for the replies. I found the following on the internet and it fixed the problem
Open new Tab Navigate to about:config Accept security warning Change extensions.blocklist.enabled to false Restart browser This prevents firefox from checking the blocklist you have configured at extensions.blocklist.detailsURL.
This then allowed me to reinstall the extension.
Which by the way there should be a "turn" back on button as opposed to only a remove" button
Extensions are disabled for a reason (crashes) and it is not recommended to disable blocklisting.

What extension is it? You can copy/paste the name and ID from the support information page. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Scroll down to the Extensions heading, use the mouse to select from there through the table that follows and copy, and then paste into a reply. It will look a little messy, but don't worry, we're used to it.
As requested:

Hmm, I don't see that one on the blocklist page: https://blocklist.addons.mozilla.org/firefox/blocked/
There is a mention on the following page that it may install with some unwanted software, but that sounds like a separate issue: https://www.reasoncoresecurity.com/4c7097f7-08f2-4ef2-9b9f-f95fa4cbb064.xpi-1e1ede593cbc6bcee5d177fb08383a7d0dd43c28.aspx
Interesting. Firefox keeps trying to remove it.
In fact it current says under extensions "Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus will be disable after you restart Firefox"
As an aside I notice
there is an 1.8 version
Caution: This add-on has not been reviewed by Mozilla and can't be installed on release versions of Firefox 43 and above. Be careful when installing third-party software that might harm your computer.
