There are add-ons and themes on mozilla.org which I would like to download. However, mozilla.org will not allow me to download them using any browser but Firefox. And, Firefox provides no ability to Save As; it will only allow me to Install. Obviously having Firefox trying to install Thunderbird add-ons into itself does not work.

Can anyone tell me what I have to do to simply download the XPI packages for these add-ons and themes? It used to be quite easy, but it appears in the recent past mozilla.org has changed.

Thanks

Update: Before anyone suggests to Right-Click > Save-As, I have tried this. Both Firefox and non-Firefox browsers only offer to save HTML files, though they differ between Firefox and non-Firefox.

Also, I have tried this on multiple computers. All have the same issue.

Since you're having trouble making a browser work, try getting your add-ons directly via Thunderbird.

Tools|Add-ons|Extensions→Search

Save Link As works for me. You must clicking on the wrong thing.

You can also drag and drop the link to an xpi file onto Tools|Addons
