Why did the firefox update 20th April 2017 delete Firefox Help and Trusteer?
Having had a good working version of Firefox replaced by a faulty update that deleted Firefox Help and Trusteer, what can be done to restore the browser's previous incarnation?

Do you recall what version you had before you installed Firefox 53? You often can learn this from the Troubleshooting Information page, where there often is a "Show Update History" button. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, can you find that button?
In case those add-ons were disabled or stopped working due to incompatibility, you might try updating them. You can view, disable, and often remove or update extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then check for a small button above the list with a gear/wheel/cog icon and click that and try "Check for Updates". Also, make sure the extensions are still listed and not disabled. If they are disabled and can't be re-enabled, click the More link for the extension to check for any explanation.
Any progress?
