With the new update all my Speedial bookmarks are gone. Anyone have an idea how to restore it?

clicked on the firefox icon this morning and got the message that Updates were being applied. Ok, not a big deal. Browser comes up and it is completely different. And my SpeedDial extension is gone.

I did a search and in the firefox/profiles folder there is speeddial data.
Does anyone know how to restore this? My passwords are saved, my other bookmarks are saved, why not Speedial.
I found another post that said to toggle some booleans but all this did was change the home page look.
thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, you can try this add-on to get a similar function to the old speed-dial page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/

Thank you but this does not answer my question nor solve my problem.

I want Speedial back because it contained all my bookmarks.

Are you telling me that Speedial no longer works with Firefox?
