So far I have to click on the stack of books, then bookmarks, then bookmark this page. It used to be so easy. Can you add a "add bookmark" icon like the old Firefox? Is there an easier way because I can't find it.

Do you not have a Star in the Address Bar ? Beside the 3 Dot Menu ?

If not : Please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Also:

There is a "real" bookmarks menu button for the toolbar. You can add it from Customize, or use the "Library" button as described in the article linked below:

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to join the two buttons at the hip as they were in earlier versions of Firefox...
