My PC stopped working. The hard drive is fine and I moved it to an external hard drive case so I can access the data.

I didn’t realise I could backup my Firefox bookmarks so I hadn’t. I gather that Firefox backs them up automatically (?).

I want to transfer my Firefox bookmarks to my new PC. I believe I have three potential routes - 1. Finding the folder containing my bookmarks on the “rescued” hard drive and copying it to my new PC. 2. Finding the automatic backup (if Firefox made them) and restoring them. 3. When installing Firefox on my iPhone, I used an option to transfer my Firefox bookmarks from my PC to my iPhone. I assume I can do the reverse.

Can anyone please tell me how to do these things. I can only find information on how to transfer bookmarks from PC to IPhone (I need to do the opposite) and how to restore to a PC from a manual Firefox backup (I didn’t back them up). I would be very grateful. Thanks.

IPhone: iOS 11. Dead PC: Windows 7. New PC: Windows 10.

Hi, Can anyone please help me with this? Since writing it, I have found that Firefox did make automatic backups. I have tried to restore from that backup. However I receive an error message with words to the effect of "Unable to process backup" (which I assume is due to a security issue). Does anyone know how to get around this? Thanks
