Here* you find the description:

"Click the drop-down menu next to Time range to clear to choose how much of your history Firefox will clear (the last hour, the last two hours, the last four hours, the last day or everything).

What does "the last day" mean?

Last 24h? Or really just the last day? What does it delete 1minute after midnight? Just 1 minute or the last 1440 minutes?

Thanks for pointing that out! It appears that article hasn't been updated.

The drop-down menu now reads "today", meaning anything from midnight to the current time.

Hope this helps.

Would, however, be better to add more time frames such as 6h, 12h, 24h, 48h…

I agree. It probably would be better to introduce some more time frames since there's not currently any middle-ground between "today" and "everything".

Sorry to say, I just tested it again.

Since updating to the last 2 versions of FF, something changed!

It deletes far more then it should. If I delete "last 4 hours" it deletes also some cookies from over a day.

It used to work now for very long time, very reliable. Since 4-6 weeks I observe this strange behavior. I guess it has to be since FF 65.

Something else:

If I log-in to, e.g. "X.com" I'm receiving cookies like:

''x.com www.x.com nimg.x.com''

If I delete www.x.com and nimg.x.com on CHROME I'm still logged-in. If I used to the delete these cookies with older versions of FF, same thing.

NOW: Since a few weeks: Im logged-out immediately and have to log-in again!

This is new and bad behavior!

To the other subject: Why not just add a delete data for… and then you can write in by yourself how many minutes?
