Despite re-downloading, despite re-installing, despite refreshing, despite clearing extensions... STILL get "Unable to connect". Perhaps solution is USE CHROME?
Attempting to load any new site gets only the message "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at xxx"
Getting very tired of re-reading the same help articles that have not proved to be effective... (Using Firefox 71, MacOS 10.14.6)

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.
