Firefox shuts down with no prompting from me - and no crash report generated.
Ok, as it says above, Firefox is randomly shutting itself off, as if you were 'Exit'-ing. I have followed all the aspects of the troubleshooting webpage - so far, when in Troubleshooting Mode, it stays up. I have turned all add-ons, extensions, hardware acceleration...before I went to Troubleshooting Mode...to try and isolate what might be causing it - no luck. I can have as few as 4 tabs open or as much as 10-it still turns off. Now, this does not happen each and every day, but it's close. The last crash report sent in was dated November 11, 4 in total. I have the crash report ID numbers if needed. I can't create the scenario; it's acting as if I am closing the browser, which I am not. This has me lost and frustrated.

This article tells you what information to provide. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help
If there is a crash report for this, that would be useful to know. On the about:crashes page, you should find the IDs of submitted reports. Pasting those IDs into a reply here makes them active links to your report. More info in this article: Firefox crashes - asking for support.
If Firefox closes without creating a crash report, or in case the crash report is a "shutdown hang" when you review it, could I suggest opening an extra window -- Ctrl+Shift+N, and just keeping your home page there is fine -- to test whether only your main window is closing or the entire browser is exiting.
@jscher2000 - a great suggestion, which I followed through on. Took a few days, but the result is that both windows closed, not just one. Would that suggest that the issue is browser-wide?

Use these links to create a new profile. Use this new profile as is. Is the problem still there?

To me it indicates that it's not just a script or add-on closing a window, the whole app is closing for some reason.
What happens when you restart Firefox? Does it act as though it crashed (doing either an automatic recovery or showing an error screen about failure to recover)? I suppose if you have Firefox set to restore your session automatically, it's not possible to tell the difference between a crash recovery and a normal startup...
Was there a new crash report?
Since you have already linked this to something disabled in Firefox's Safe Mode, that could be:
- one of your add-ons
- graphics crash -- hardware acceleration of graphics
- JavaScript compiler crash
For Add-ons, you can disable all but the most essential and see whether that makes any difference.
For graphics, you could disable Firefox from using hardware acceleration. This is a potential workaround for incompatibilities between Firefox and your graphics card/chipset driver software. This article describes where to make that change: Firefox's performance settings. This will take effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference?
Since hardware acceleration improves the appearance of fonts and animations, you may want to check whether graphics card/chipset driver updates are available for your system. This article suggests safe ways to do that: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.
