Earlier I posted a couple new problems with Microsoft Outlook Live Mail regarding email attachments no longer opening and sudden odd behavior there a new sub window opens at the bottom of the page while I'm composing an email message and leaves me with my inbox. As of yesterday evening, Outlook no longer functions AT ALL, displaying the massage "Something went wrong..." (see screenshot). Not of these issues happen with Chrome. What gives??

I have been using Firefox exclusively for the past 5 years and never experienced issues with Outlook Live Mail.

I also use Microsoft Outlook. But I normally use the Thunderbird e-mail browser to access my mail.

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ Thunderbird is a free email application that’s easy to set up and customize - and it’s loaded with great features!

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi Fred, Thanks for the responses. I have been able to use Outlook with Firefox for years without this problem. I haven't installed anything new, or changed any settings so thought maybe Firefox made some changes that were causing the bug (I asked the same question about the attachments and strange window behavior over on the Outlook Help Forum and the mod said nope. He did say try Chrome, which I did and it does NOT have the same bugs). I was about to look into the Safe Troubleshooting Mode, but thought ran CCleaner first, as I realized it had been a while since I have cleaned up all the junk. Sure enough, that allowed me to use Outlook Live mail again :-). Just wish it solved the other two minor issues. I'd rather not have to use another separate browser just to use my email program.

Could you explain the other minor issues?

I can almost never open an attachment like a photo, or even download them. Also, when typing an email message, I suddenly get directed back to my inbox, with a separate tab containing what I had been typing at the bottom of the window. Very odd, and neither problems have happened until the last month or so, and don't happen when using Chrome.
