How can I remove excess vertical space in firefox toolbar customization?
After playing around with toolbar customization for quite a while, i can't seem to deduce how to remove the last remaining chunk of vertical space. I have removed all excess elements from the toolbar, and there is currently nothing occupying the space in question as far as i can tell.

In case it wasn't clear, here is an image of the toolbar with the space i would like to remove indicated in red - http://i.imgur.com/aU7ag.png
Does anyone know if it is possible to remove this space, and if so what I need to do or change?

That looks like it may be an empty bookmarks toolbar. Right-click on a toolbar, if "Bookmarks Toolbar" has a tick by its name click on that entry to de-select it. That will hide the bookmarks toolbar.
Thanks Tony for the quick response. Although I had already unchecked the Bookmarks Toolbar, unchecking the Web Developer toolbar did the trick. I was under the impression that hiding that toolbar would also hide the icons associated with it, however this seems not to be the case. I do feel silly now, though
