Want new added to bottom of flyout/drop-down menu

more options

I'm having a problem with my Bookmarks flyout/drop-down menu: whenever I add a new bookmark it does not appear at the bottom of the list (as it used to) and the bookmarks themselves cannot be deleted (the option is greyed). I have just forced a re-write of places.sqlite to correct a bookmark-forgetting problem.

Strangely, the bookmarks sidebar is not affected by this problem, nor is the list in "show all bookmarks". Any ideas? Basically, I want the Bookmarks flyout to add the newest bookmark to the bottom of the menu, but I can't find an option to force it.

Are you adding the bookmark using the "star" in the location bar? That defaults to the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder instead of the "Bookmarks Menu". I don't see a place to change that default.

If you don't mind having them in the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, you can add the folder to the Bookmarks Menu using an add-on: Unsorted Bookmarks Folder Menu :: Add-ons for Firefox. I haven't tried it myself.
